The storied and world-famous House of Arras brand was established in 1995 to craft Australia’s most exceptional and memorable sparkling wine. Based on a rich tapestry of cool-climate Tasmanian fruit sourcing and meticulous craftsmanship, the brand has achieved recognition from all around the world for its sparkling wines of great purity, complexity, and energy.
The House of Arras’ Ed Carr is regarded as Australia’s greatest sparkling winemaker ‘by some considerable distance.’ A swag of national and international accolades highlights his skilled virtuosity and genius as a sparkling wine specialist. House of Arras sparkling wines are based on traditional and precision winemaking techniques, superb company and grower vineyard sites and the fresh cold maritime climate of Tasmania.
Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes, anchored in ancient soils and surrounded by pristine environments, are grown with meticulous attention to detail, before being vinified by méthode traditionnelle techniques and tiraged (matured) in bottle before release. Extended tirage-aging is a house specialty, and our finest Grand Vintage releases match the quality of some of the greatest cuvées of Champagne.
